Not sure if the feature is incomplete or broken. Looks like there's a play button in the time log tab in the task view window that starts and stops a timer when hit.
The expected behavior as a user is that it would add a punch entry of a start and stop time for a task, but it doesn't do that. Also, the timer is not persistent if you navigate out of the Task Detail View popup window.
If the button acted as a punch, the timer could remain persistent even if the user navigates away from the view to work on the task. There could also be an additional view of "active tasks/timers" to help users prevent forgetting to "punch out" on the task. Or, if enforcing singular task activity habits, give users a warning that there is an active timer already with the option to stop the timer and edit the time log entry as necessary.
